New Delhi: They may have impressive resumes to approach any top company for a lucrative job but turned robbers for different reasons. One wanted money as he lost his job due to recession, his MBA friend wanted to fly to US to meet his girlfriend and another working in an industrial group wanted a fatter purse to entertain his wife as well as his girlfriend. All of them landed in police net along with four associates in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar yesterday following investigations into a case of robbers getting the signature of an NRI in three cheques on gunpoint and encashing them later. "They encashed one of the self-cheques worth Rs 30,000 from his bank through one of their associates while others remained present at the house and confined him until the cheque was encashed," H G S Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said.
