Fissures develop in TDs T forum on separate unit
Hyderabad, Jan. 21: Cracks have developed in the Telangana Telugu Desam Forum, with party MLA, Mr M. Narasimhulu, firing a salvo at forum convenor, Mr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, and rejecting his demand for a separate unit of the party in Telangana.Where is the need for a separate unit? Some people are daydreaming of becoming Chief Minister even before Telangana is carved out. Its unfortunate that these people are hankering for power, Mr Narsimhulu remarked caustically.Mr Narsimhulu is the second leader in the party after Mr A. Revanth Reddy to openly oppose the formation of a separate unit in Telangana even before a new state is formed. It is an unnecessary demand. Let Telangana be formed, the party unit will automatically come about. Some seniors are blackmailing Mr Chandrababu Naidu, he charged. In an indirect reference to Mr Janardhan Reddy, he said this sort of quest for power was not good for the party. Why are some people trying to project themselves as the lone T-protagonist? In fact, TRS is ahead of others in the Telangana movement, he said.Mr Narsimhulus outburst clearly indicates a split in the Telangana Telugu De-sam Forum, headed by Mr Janardhan Reddy.Leaders like Mr T. Devender Goud, Mr A. Revanth Reddy and others are supporting Mr Naidu, who is opposed to the formation of the Telangana unit of the party, even before the state is divided.Mr Naidu held a series of one-on-one meetings with Telangana Telugu Desam leaders, including Mr Janardhan Reddy and asked them not to precipitate matters.Though Dr Reddy mellowed for some time, he came back with a bang saying there was no change in his demand for a separate unit.
