He's been trapped in a Rajasthan tunnel since Thursday
Udaipur: For nearly five days, Narayan has been stuck in a tunnel that caved in while he was at work 40 km from Udaipur.
On Thursday afternoon, he was approximately 200 ft below the ground, helping dig a tunnel for the Dewas water project, meant to steam water via a special pipeline to the lakes in Udaipur.
When the tunnel suddenly caved in, the 40-year-old was trapped. However, he has 9 metres of space around him, and he's able to walk around. Rescue operations are underway - a 22-metre tunnel is needed to reach him, so far only 7 metres have been dug.
Rescue officials have lowered a pipe into the tunnel through which they speak to Narayan, and send him food and juice.
