Husband slashes wife's ears, nose

Domri village, Maharashtra: In a gruesome case of domestic violence, a man in Maharashtra's Beed district slashed the nose and ears of his wife on Saturday.

The victim, Kalyan Bhondwe, a school teacher, was also badly beaten up by him. She has been admitted in a hospital.

The husband, a retired Jawan of the Indian Army, has been arrested after a case was registered at a Patoda police station in Beed against him.

Police say the husband suspected the victim of adultery, and hence, resorted to drastic measures.
