12-year-old beaten by ex-minister in UP
Bijnor: A 12-year-old boy was thrashed and beaten up by an Uttar Pradesh politician in the Bijnor district of the state on Saturday.
RLD leader and former UP minister for sugarcane, Swami Omesh, claims he caught the child red handed when he was attempting to pick his pocket.
The child had come to the leaders rally and was later detained by the police. He was let off and handed over to his parents.
The boy was thrashed and the minister twisted his ears to extract a confession.
The incident took place when the rally being led by Swami Omwesh was crossing the district magistrate's office in Bijnor. The minister was not available for comment.
